Born in Urbino Italy, April the 6th 1483. Raphael was very productive painter and an architect. His father was also a painter working at the Duce of Arbino´s court, which gave him a very good manners and artistic taste. Raphael was a good friend of Pope Leo X which also gave him a good place in socity and the privelge to design St. Peter´s Cathedral however it didnt work out as he designed it gloomy and darkely they had to change it. Raphael´s famous paintings icludes The Transfiguration 1550 and Galatea in 1513. |
